Ben Tyzack & Guy Tortora previously performed together in the Spike Drivers and formed an acoustic duo back in 2015 after discovering how similar their musical styles and interests were. The partnership brings together two masterful guitarists that between them deliver a musical experience that includes slow, sleazy, blues, acoustic slide guitar and a variety of other American blues and blues roots styles. Their guitars speak to each other in classic 'call and response' but more than that they speak to the audience, augmented by their different singing styles, Guy more rough and aggressive and Ben with a softer southern drawl, sometimes with that 'high and lonesome sound'.

Ben Tyzack was born in London but raised in the deep south of the Unites States, Ben's musical style reflects these experiences. His guitar playing is an intoxicating blend, from the raw delta blues of Robert Johnson to the powerful soundscapes of Jimmy Page. This combined with a soulful voice and commanding stage presence completes the picture of a very unique artist. In 1992 Ben formed the Spikedrivers, they released seven albums and included many of his original songs. He has also composed music for Channel 4’s 'Car Wars’ and performed with Lee Shankey, Roger Askew and the Royal Shakespear Company.
Sadly Spikedrives gave their last performance in 2025.

Guy Tortora was born & raised in Pasadena, California and is currently based in London in the UK. Guy is a guitar player of some accomplishment and a distinctive songwriter. On both acoustic and electric guitars, he plays finger style and is a fine bottleneck and slide player. His playing is not the flashy guitar-slinger style beloved of bluesrockers everywhere, but understated and leaves room for the songs to make an impact, whether his own or the covers he performs that include many old standards and traditional tunes as well as songs by more recent American writers such as Eric Bibb or Kreig Viesselman.

Janos Bajtala. Hungarian by birth but a long-time resident of London UK. Maestro Janos is the piano man to go to whether it is Blues, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Americana or good old Rock & Roll.
Janos is currently featuring with The Bluescasters, Nigel Bagge Band, GuyTortora Band & as a Duo with Guy and now with Tyzack, Tortora & Bajtala. Expect Janos to to lead the way with a solo spot.
