Good to see Snail's-Pace Slim's return to the stage!

Barry formed the Hamsters in 1987 on the Thames River Delta in Southend-on-Sea, and the band became well-regarded as one of the UK's premier Rock'n'Blues outfits until they retired in 2012, having performed 5,000 concerts in that time - and 25 years to the day from their first rehearsal together.

Slim had been a former member of the Kursaal Flyers, and performed a stint with Dr Feelgood; he also used to write regularly for Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines.

The Hamsters always very much enjoyed playing in the area at Aylesbury Civic Centre and the local Pendley Manor (which some of you may recall), including the concerts with Wilko Johnson and John Otway on the Mad, Bad & Dangerous tours of 2005-6!

Slim doesn't perform any more, but is delighted to have been lured out at Christmas to knock out a few tunes with his pals The Looters!.
