DESCRIPTION:Roberto Picazo Band \n \nRob Picazo is a Rhythm & Blues singer\, songwriter and guitarist. Born in Madrid and based in London\, Rob’s love for Blues\, Soul and Gospel date back to his teenage years\, as regular explorations of his father’s vast record collection and the music of Ray Charles\, Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke gave way to an obsession marked by listening\, research and adulation. Over time\, all these influences inspired Rob to write songs with themes of vulnerability\, intensity and heartache. \nRob’s album Soothe My Soul was recorded in Memphis with members of the legendary Hi Rhythm section\, and released in late 2023 to acclaim in the UK\, US and his native Spain. If you like your blues hot & sweet poured over with chilli sauce this will have you jumping to your feet. \nCarrying on the tradition of music in the Franklin family started in the 1920s by her great grandfather\, Elsie Franklin is a great finger style blues\, slide guitar player and singer. Elsie is a rising talent in the country blues community\, playing old-time American folk music\, incorporating everything from blues to jazz with a shiny resonator guitar. \nShe is widely regarded as a unique and skilled guitarist as well as a powerful vocalist by many highly acclaimed musicians of the genre such as Steve James\, Dave Kelly\, and Frank Matheis\, who describes her as “outright superb and exciting.“  \nShe offered a mix of bluesy\, vintage-sounding originals and covers on sophomore album ‘Miss Rhythm’ (2022).
