DESCRIPTION:The Gary Fletcher Blues Band\nWe are very pleased to have them back after such a great evening last year. \nThis year we are dedicating the show to Gary’s Bass player Andy Billups\, previously with The Hamsters\, who died late last year. The Raffle proceeds will go to St Barnabas Hospice. \nThe band are:\nGary – acoustic and slide guitars\, banjo and ukelele\nTom Leary – (Lindisfarne\, Feast of Fiddles\, etc) violin\nAlan Glen – (Yardbirds\, Nine Below Zero etc) harmonica\nChris Belshaw – bass\nNick Ritchie – (Canto\, Mud) guitars\nSam Kelly – (Tom Robinson\, Circulus) drums \nHere Gary plays his own songs on acoustic guitar. They are not a blues band playing blues by aging white Brits\, instead you have a collection of strong songs performed with taste\, intelligence and dignity with the acoustic rather than the electric guitar to the fore.
