Rainey’s Ragtime Band bring you music from the 1920s and ’30s featuring Ma Rainey’s iconic songs and a handpicked selection of beloved tunes from that golden era.
They are led by Richard Exall on tenor saxophone and clarinet, Dom Barnett on piano and Tony Qunta on acoustic guitar. The rhythm section comprises of Sam Kelly on drums and Marianne Windham on double-bass.
Complementing the ensemble is the multi British Jazz awards-winner Amy Roberts on alto saxophone and clarinet together with Gemma Dorset and Chrissie Myles, whose voices will transport you to the jazz clubs of yesteryear.
